Hurricane Voices is advancing the rebellion against breast cancer.

Through the combined power of many voices, we raise awareness and activity, and break down the barriers to progress in pursuit of the cause of and cure for breast cancer. We call for a vast change in the progression of this disease in hope that future generations of young women will not be touched by breast cancer.

We act through public awareness, educational campaigns, grant making and programming. We network across medical, research, patient, survivor and philanthropic constituencies.

Lois Egasti - Founder & President
Lois’ vision and dedication for Hurricane Voices is born of her experience as a breast cancer dancer for the past 11 years. The foundation’s mission is driven by her perspective of the current environment surrounding breast cancer. Calling upon her well-rounded business experiences in management, human resources, marketing, and the not-for-profit sector along with a Masters in Public and Private Management from Yale School of Management, Lois conceptualizes the strategies for Hurricane Voices’ fight against breast cancer.

Janet Colantuono - Executive Director
Janet brings the benefit of a diverse business background to her role at the foundation. As a cancer survivor, her dedication to Hurricane Voices is passionate, as seen in her powerful interpretation and implementation of the foundation’s vision and strategy. This is echoed in her long term commitment to community service and philanthropic events.

Our team of research and program specialists is joined by a corps of dedicated volunteers who support us by sharing their expertise in financial management, law, Web site design, marketing and information systems/technology.
